I went for a walk today and the only thing I felt was contentment. It was the end of a long day at work, the end of a long gym session too.

I watched as the day turned to night, as the birds took flight,

I watched the moon above the trees, the silence, there were no bees,

The walk through the park told me more than I thought,

That people still loved hanging out without having bought,

A lot of drinks and stuff, it’s not necessary,

When enjoying the outdoors, oh look at that man! He’s hairy!

Well, you know this walk turned out alright, seeing as I’m back home writing this. I hope everybody had a day just as full of bliss.

This piece was for day 20 of Jumpstart July, a challenge from me to me to write a piece a day, whether that’s a poem, short story or article!
