Writing Is A Whole Other World

When I first started writing, I did it because I had to keep my mind occupied. I had trouble focusing on anything else. Everything else.

A social life was lacking, not because I never had the opportunity or no chance of having friends, I had them, but I valued solitude. And with solitude came a lot of thought.

When I first started writing, I delved into fiction. Not because I didn’t like my reality but because I could create another, more fascinating world of adventure where I could create challenges, possibilities and opportunities.

I do write articles and poems too, but fiction, short stories, novels, they’re my soul. There’s something about creating something from nothing and watching a whole world appear. You create lives, you inspire people through your words, you make people feel. It’s what writing is all about.

It’s been several years and I’ve watched many people write and publish and enjoy their work. Some have no passion for it and just chase the glory of the title of being a renowned author, no longer caring if what they write is gold or as common as dirt. But you can always tell those who love the craft from the ones who do it for the sake of writing.

Writing is a whole other world. One you can get lost in, one you can find, one you can do anything with. The possibilities are…
